FileVert measures the real environmental impact of each transfer based on volumes exchanged, actual storage durations and the energy performance of its infrastructure. The goal: make the digital footprint visible and enable its progressive reduction, without over-promising or artificial simplification.
With FileVert, you get the number of kWh consumed and the associated carbon footprint for each transfer. Our goal? It's not to make you feel guilty—quite the opposite! Instead, we aim to raise awareness about often overlooked digital pollution and give you the tools to gradually reduce your digital footprint.

FileVert acts on three structural levers to reduce the digital footprint compared to standard uses.
Optimized storage
4.72 tonnes of CO₂ avoided per year thanks to automatic deletion and an average retention period of less than 15 days, compared to multi-year storage on classic clouds.
Efficient transfers
0.83 tonnes of CO₂ saved annually thanks to French datacenters with optimized PUE (1.1 to 1.3) and a predominantly decarbonized electricity mix.
Optimized emails
7.64 tonnes of CO₂ saved thanks to replacing attachments with temporary links, avoiding data duplication in mailboxes and their long-term storage.
